Tallgeese 2 was a new mobile suit built for Treize Khushrenada, basically a carbon copy of the original Tallgeese, but with new looks. Treize personally led the attack against the White Fang and the battleship Libra in his Tallgeese 2 mobile suit. Zechs Merquise declined Treize's request for a one on one duel, and instead fired Libra's main cannon at the Tallgeese 2. Wing Gundam, piloted by Lady Une, arrived at the last second and threw Tallgeese 2 out of the way.
The rest of OZ joined Tallgeese 2 out on the battlefield and fought against the White Fang. Eventually, the Gundams went inside Libra, but a certain Gundam pilot, Chang Wu Fei, pilot of Gundam 05, Altolong Gundam, ran into the OZ/White Fang battle instead. Much earlier on in the series, Treize and Wu Fei dueled hand to hand, and Wu Fei was defeated. When Altolong met up with Tallgeese, the two rematched. For a long while, the battle was not really going anywhere, until Tallgeese 2 charged Altolong, and instinctively, Wu Fei raised the beam trident, hitting Tallgeese 2. Tallgeese 2 floated out into the battle, seriously damaged. Treize Khushrenada spoke his final words, and Tallgeese 2 exploded, taking the leader of OZ with it.
