The war has ended, and Wing Gundam Zero has been sent to the sun with Deathscythe Hell, Heavyarms, and Sandrock. After all, why should such a weapon be needed in such a peaceful world?
Mariemeia Khushrenada declares war on the Earth Sphere United Nation, and suddenly, such a weapon IS necessary; however, no such weapon exists anymore, aside from Wu Fei's Altron, and he's allied with Mariemeia. Quatre Raberba Winner and the Maganac Corps chase down the Gundams, still enroute to the sun, and turn them around. After escaping from colony L1X18999, Hiiro Yuy intercepts Wing Gundam Zero Custom in space and travels to Earth.
Waiting for him on the way is Altron Gundam "Nataku" Custom and Chang Wu Fei. Altron challenges Zero and the two battle as they enter the atmosphere. The battle concludes over the ocean with Hiiro's surrender. Wing Zero powers down and drops into the sea.
Shortly thereafter, the other three Gundams get into quite a jam after ending up surrounded by Serpent mobile suits. Suddenly, instruments inside the surrounded mobile suits turns their attention to the sky; Wing Zero has its buster rifle aimed right at Mariemeia's supposedly impenetrable shield. One shot - the shield is damaged, but not penetrated. Two shots - further damage, but no total destruction. All of the Serpents change targets. Wing Zero fires off a third shot that destroys the shield and as it is overcome by fire and explosion. Wing Zero falls to the ground below. The pilot survives, but the mobile suit doesn't.
