Gundam Epyon is the Gundam built by Treize Khusrenada in Luxembourg during his confinement by the Romefeller Foundation. The Gundam utilizes a system much like the Zero System, called System Epyon. During its first battle, System Epyon kicks in, and, with Hiiro Yuy as the pilot, it wipes out an entire army - two entire armies, actually. One being an army composed of Virgo mobile dolls, and the other being composed of Leos belonging to the Treize Faction.
Hiiro takes it with him, leaving Wing Gundam behind in Luxembourg, and uses it in place of Wing in defending the Sanc Kingdom. After the Sanc Kingdom declares its defeat, Hiiro continues to fight, and when Zechs arrives in Wing Zero, Hiiro fights him, too.
After the battle, with both pilots losing to the systems of their respective Gundams, Hiiro and Zechs trade Gundams, and Hiiro runs off with Wing Gundam Zero, while Zechs ends up with Gundam Epyon. Zechs leaves, and is eventually confronted by Quinze, of the White Fang.
Zechs and his Gundam, which is considered a sign of the rebellion, go to space to lead the White Fang, a group from the space colonies that is trying to gain independence from OZ. With the battleship Libra, stolen from OZ, and the Gundam Epyon, the White Fang plans to destroy the Earth.
Zechs isn't content with simply sitting back and watching, and he takes his Gundam out and acts as a frontline soldier with all the rest of his "soldiers" (mostly mobile dolls, actually). Epyon is used to completely destroy Space Fortress Barge, and fights several times against the other Gundams.
Hiiro finally gets back behind the controls of Wing Zero after a mission inside Libra, and he and Zechs fight once more. Both have an upper hand at one point or another in the battle, and each pilot finds that the other has successfully mastered the system installed in his Gundam's cockpit. Hiiro and Zechs eventually move into the wreckage of Libra that's falling toward Earth, and in a final attack, they both charge each other. Epyon's arm is cut off, but Wing Zero is still good. Considering the battle complete, Hiiro leaves to destroy the power reactor on the falling chunk of Libra. Once he gets to the reactor, though, he finds that he's out of bullets, his buster rifle is floating out in space somewhere, and his beamsaber has gone dead. Epyon drops down in front of him and Zechs makes a declaration that he will survive to the bitter end. "Until we meet again, Hiiro." He destroys the reactor and Epyon disappears in the explosion, not to be seen again.
