Deathscythe shows up about midway through the very first episode of Gundam Wing. Duo raids a Leo production factory and completely destroys it. Later, Deathscythe shows up at the Wing crash site in the ocean and destroys the Cancer and Pisces, as well as Alliance suits present, before recovering Wing.
Duo and Hiiro make repairs to their Gundams together, but over night, while Duo and his staff sleeps, Hiiro strips Deathscythe for parts he needs to repair Wing. Deathscythe is repaired with new parts and Duo returns to the battlefield once again.
Quatre finds himself taking the dummy route in the Siberia battle, and Sandrock is almost run over by a train when Deathscythe appears and derails the train. Duo and Quatre fight the Leos inside together, and when Hiiro self detonates, they escape together. The Gundams are silenced for a while, and then Duo and Quatre decide to attack a space port. The fight together, and the other Gundams eventually show up. The five pilots escape into outer space.
Duo and his Deathscythe Gundam wage guerilla warfare against OZ for quite a while before Duo eventually goes up against some mobile dolls. Seeing that he has no chance of winning, Duo prepares to self detonate. "Tag along... on my journey into hell!" The self detonation mechanism fails, though. Guess you won't be going to hell just yet, Shinigami. Duo is captured and imprisoned.
Hiiro eventually breaks Duo out and they go live in a colony. Hiiro goes on a mission and is captured, but Duo stays behind to recover, as he was pretty badly injured while in prison. He's feeling a bit better and wanders the colony until he comes to a large crowd around a giant TV screen. On screen, Trowa Barton in an OZ mobile suit and the empty Gundam Deathscythe. Deathscythe is destroyed by Trowa as a public demonstration.
