Altron is the rebuilt Shenlong Gundam, once again, piloted by Wu Fei. It makes its first appearance in the series after Chief Engineer Tubarov attempts to kill the Gundam pilots. Lady Une arrives to set them free, and Duo and Wu Fei escape on their upgraded Gundams, taking time on their way out to send some mobile dolls to machine hell.
Wu Fei roams outer space for a while, eventually returning to his home colony. He continues training with his old master, Master Long, but OZ attacks the colony. Wu Fei fights them in his Altron Gundam, but Master Long, back at the colony, sees that the colony will be in Wu Fei's way, and self destructs it. Wu Fei leaves on a self-imposed mission to filter out the bad things in space and search for a sense of justice in others.
Altron fights against Wing Zero when Zechs tries to recruit Wu Fei, and Zechs loses to the Zero System. Wu Fei refuses to join up with Zechs, still seeing Zechs as an enemy. Wu Fei begins attacking both OZ and the White Fang, and anyone else who would bring weapons into outer space, where they're not needed. Noin finds him and asks him to come with her to join the other Gundam pilots, but he refuses. Later, he does end up joining the other Gundam pilots again, and he goes out on all those missions that the rest of them do in their short battles (always victories, of course) against the White Fang's mobile dolls. During the attack on Libra, when the other Gundams go inside Libra, Wu Fei leaves them to go into the middle of the OZ/White Fang battle. He fights on the side of OZ, but finds Treize Khushrenada in the Tallgeese 2. Wu Fei and Treize duel again, a rematch of sorts after the duel that Wu Fei lost way back in episode 8. The battle proves to be Treize's last. He goes in to attack Wu Fei, and Wu Fei reacts instinctively, throwing up his beam trident and hitting the Tallgeese 2. Treize speaks a few last words to Wu Fei and Tallgeese 2 explodes. Wu Fei can't believe what he's done, saying that he didn't mean to kill Treize.
Wu Fei and Altron meet up with the other Gundams to destroy the falling chunk of Libra, and Wu Fei is the one who recovers Wing Zero's buster rifle. He throws it to Hiiro after Hiiro's battle with Zechs is over, and that's about as much as Altron does. The rest of Altron's role in the series consists of sitting around with the other Gundams to watch Hiiro do his thing against Libra.
